Angela M. Stephenson has been given a mandate by God to be an advocate for single parent moms. Being a single mom herself, she is the proud and blessed mother of her only child, Ashley. After going through a divorce and reaching the lowest point of her life, Ms. Stephenson accepted the invitation to make Jesus Christ Lord and Savior of her life. Since that time, Ms. Stephenson can attest to the fact that God and only God has kept and blessed her and her daughter through the ups and downs of being a single parent. God has helped and enabled her to win over every adversity that presented itself as a challenge. God has faithfully been both a husband to her and a father to her child. God can and will do the same for other single parent moms.
In 2000, God gave Ms. Stephenson a command, like Abraham in Genesis 12 v 1-3, to get out of her country (Louisiana) from her family.
God instructed her to relocate to Atlanta, GA and make New Birth her place of worship under the leadership of Bishop Eddie L. Long.
She became a member of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, GA in October 2000 and has been serving in ministry since 2002. She formerly attended Life Center Full Gospel Baptist Cathedral in New Orleans, LA for six years under the leadership of Bishop Joseph D. Wiley where she served in various ministries.
Since joining New Birth, Ms. Stephenson has completed several ministry courses including the Teachers in Training program where she received a certificate of completion in 2003. In 2005, she completed the 9-month Women on the Path discipleship program. In 2007, God
gave her a mandate to start a ministry for single parent moms. I AM WOMAN! INTERNATIONAL was birthed on September 30, 2007.
In January 2008, God sent her to Dr. Nancy West, an Apostolic/Prophetic Teacher and Trainer and Elder at New Birth, to begin receiving classroom instruction and mentoring in her call as a prophetess of God. Currently, Ms. Stephenson is still receiving classroom instruction and mentoring along with opportunities for prophetic activation to sharpen her gift as a prophetess of God with Dr. West providing oversight and accountability. She is also a member of P.A.W.N.S. – Prophetic Apostolic Worshipping Network of Saints which was founded by Dr. West.
In 2009, she received a certificate of recognition as a Certified Christian Lay Counselor from the American Association of Christian Counselors after completing classes at New Birth.
Ms. Stephenson has been called to serve a dual purpose in fulfilling her destiny: 1) to operate in ministry as a Priest and 2) to operate in the marketplace as a King with both roles serving to advance the kingdom of God. Besides serving in her local church and founding IAWI, she is also an entrepreneur. Her principal business, Seeds2Sow International, LLC with its philanthropic mission and motto of Dispersing Seeds to All Peoples, All Nations will consist of other entrepreneurial pursuits. This is just the beginning of destiny unfolding in her life. ALL GLORY BELONGS TO GOD!
Ms. Stephenson holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration/Accounting from Southern University. She plans to complete an M.B.A. degree in the near future and pursue further certification in Christian Counseling. Currently, she is writing her first book.
